Primary Program

Our Primary classrooms include the full range of curricular areas from the beginning level to advanced endeavors - from the basics of learning how to button a sweater to more advanced skills such as the ability to read a book, multiply and divide large numbers and diagram a sentence. Children sing, draw, write stories, create plays, learn foreign languages, and explore nature on our expansive property. From group lessons to individual instruction, learning is both formal and spontaneous.

Children between three and six years of age learn and play together in our Montessori classrooms and on our extensive grounds.  In the way that younger children learn spontaneously from  their older siblings, our classrooms encourage mutual and supportive learning between the children with guidance by their peers and teachers.
