Mary Tehrani

Assistant Head of Schools - Operations

Mary has held many roles in the administrative team. She started her Franklin journey as a classroom assistant for 5 years and returned after graduating from UMBC. Her role this year will encompass all things employee-related, as well as the communications piece to the Franklin families. She will be working closely with our head of school to provide support for our staff, students and families. Did you know that Mary has also been proudly teaching children diagnosed with autism for the past 10 years? Applying the skills and knowledge gained upon earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UMBC, she’s most passionate about bridging the gap between education and child psychology. Outside of Franklin, Mary likes to travel and spend time with family.

Wendy Huff

Director of Admissions

Wendy has worked in various aspects of the Franklin administrative team in the last 5 years.  She currently serves as the Director of Admissions, and in the fall, will be giving tours, greeting families and doing administrative work in the mornings. Wendy also led workshops for our Metro Day continuing education. A "Marylander" born and bred, Wendy has lived in many counties within the state, and loves to travel, too. She followed her mother's love for dance, and was selected to receive several scholarships to complete National Teaching Certification through Dance Masters of America in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Her love for people is evident in every aspect of Wendy's life. As her 3 children began to grow, she took on the role of Youth Minister at her local church, and earned Certification in Youth Ministry and Theology through Princeton Theological Seminary.

Melanie Celenza

Administrator

Melanie has been a part of our Franklin family for more than 20 years. After a brief retirement, Melanie came back, because she missed her Franklin family.  We are very happy to have her return to our team for a second year. Melanie graduated from the University of South Carolina, loves to run, and go to the beach! She and her husband have 1 adult son, who was a student here at Franklin when he was young.  In the coming year, she will be working behind the scenes administratively, helping to bring exciting events to our school, and helping to support our Franklin families and staff, as well.
